I mean, why would one marry in this day and age anyways. You can date indefinitely with no government breathing down your neck to get married. You can have kids without a ring.

Weddings are just an easy way to blow a few thousand on one day. And not a very fun day at that.

Anyone who marries for love is an idiot, pure and simple.

I wish someone had passed that wisdom along to me when I was approaching adulthood, although fortunately, I managed to learn that lesson BEFORE making that mistake. Still, my life would have been easier had I not had one foot in the water, as it were, chasing the dream.

To further refine it for the younger generation; any man who marries is an idiot.

My mom married for love. So did my sister. And many of my female friends, and my male friends' wives. You sound like you just have a really unhealthy attitude towards women if you think all of them are heartless gold-diggers. If you don't want to get married that's fine but you don't need to spread misogyny like this

They were going up anyway as premiums doubled, well into the thousands per month. Everyone so busy looking at all the illegals getting handouts that they ignored the people paying for it being taxed beyond their ability to pay.
