I'm traveling for 2 months in Australia for work, and I'm living in a rented apartment (flatmates.com.au) with 2 chill dudes (with GFs) and 3 girls:

  • HB 3 just left for 2 weeks;
  • HB 5 seems at first glance like the cold type, does judo;
  • HB 4 (2) watches Netflix all day, and is leaving soon.

In Day 1 I move in, everybody stays in their room, do not socialize much. I make myself dinner, and meanwhile trying to interact with Netflix chick, but she keeps giving short uninterested answers. At one point I just give up and let her watch her show. After I'm done eating, I go to sleep.

In Day 2, I wake up alone, make myself breakfast, and prepare for my first day of visit in town. Meanwhile I'm in my room, Judo girl gets up and has breakfast. Nonetheless, I make my way to the exit and leave for my day.

When I come back in the evening, only Netflix chick is there, and, while eating dinner, I try opening her. Note: we do not eat together; we cook while we're hungry and eat whenever we want; it's the current dynamic in there as everyone has separate schedules. Got her to face me when talking, but answers were still uninterested. And then Judo girl comes back from work, and we proceed to introduce ourselves. However, right away, the two girls start talking together, and my attempts at joining the conversation were futile as their answers were still uninterested.

As I'm writing this in my room, I'm listening to them talk between themselves and one of the chill dudes and they're laughing and having fun, yatta yatta.

Am I coming across as the most Beta of men? Am I not interesting? Could my behavior lets show that, I'm not really interested in them as women (HB 3-4-5), although I'm interested to get to know them/get along? Do I just need more time to open them up?

I'm concerned that I've not been able to generate interest from such low SMV girls. I'm considering this as training before going on Tinder dates (I've got told by friends who went to Australia that online dating is THE way it works over there, and some locals I spoke to have confirmed it as well).
