So feminists tell us that these women are always first time offenders so that's why they get a suspended sentence. However:

Blunnie had 46 previous convictions, mostly for dishonesty and disorderly behaviour.

At a certain point, why even bother? If 46 is acceptable, why not 203?

I'd be willing to bet the house that there's not a single man anywhere who has 46 convictions and gets a slap on the wrist. Hell, some places have 3 strikes rules, the idea being that after 3 times and you're still not gettin' it...so a man would actually still have been in prison and unable to commit act number 46, let alone the dozens prior.

My original reaction was going to be, "if he's stupid enough to marry her and not want to see her sent to prison, why waste the money incarcerating her? Let the fool the suffer the consequences of his poor life choices." And then I got to the bit about 46 prior convictions. I know the three strikes law that CA pioneered is problematic, but at what point do you just remove somebody from society? This woman is obvious a cancer on society.

She spent 6 months in jail awaiting trial.

This spineless guy supported her in the court room.

Save your outrage for people who deserve it. This guy not only had a chance to leave, she was sent away for 6 months and he then made considerable effort to support her in court.

She is a despicable human, but he obviously made his choice.
