Investigators at the hospital, she said, asked her "humiliating and accusatory questions," such as what she was wearing, what and how much she drank, and how much she ate that day.

This always bugs me. "What were you wearing?" is not the same as "Were you dressing like a slut?" If they speak with other witnesses/CCTV they may need to know what she was wearing for identification. They may need to know in case her clothes become evidence to make sure it's the right articles of clothing. They may need to know to confirm the order of removal of clothing or method of removing clothing matches testimony (buckles, can the material rip, how many layers were removed, etc).

How much someone drinks and eats is obvious to determine the level of intoxication.

Heaven forbid the police actually want to make sure they aren't just tossing someone into jail solely on another person's word. Goodness gracious.

What's worse:

1) being asked uncomfortable questions?

2). Being innocent and spending any amount of time in jail?

I was just going to post this same quote. What is so humiliating about any of those questions? It's called EVIDENCE! Put away your feminist dog whistle and let the investigators do what they are trained to do.

"What were you wearing?" "A block of concrete."

See, then we know no rape occurred. It's important to know what you were wearing. It is part of the crime scene.

What's "humiliating" is that women are now inculcated with the idea that any questions, innocuous or not, are "humiliating" and evidence of a "hegemony." It's neurotic.

Something is very wrong with this. If it turns out that feminsts are railroading a black man in the South, they are not going to be very popular anywhere. If the police already found no merit to it and they are going over their heads and the district attorney's too, it may well be so.

If it turns out that feminsts are railroading a black man in the South, they are not going to be very popular anywhere.

Not always true; sometimes, feminism trumps racism.

Kelly Flinn (white female) and Delmar Simpson (black male) both committed similar crimes while in the US military. Flinn slept with a male subordinate a year before the incident (sleeping with another woman's husband) for which she was prosecuted.

Simpson slept with ~7 subordinates. Were standards consistent, they'd both have been imprisoned for "conduct unbecoming," albeit Simpson for 7 times longer.

But instead, Flinn received a general discharge and was held up as a long-suffering female persecuted by the military; even before discharge, multiple firms proudly and publicly offered her high-paying jobs.

Menawhile, Simpson was tried for multiple counts of rape. The females knew it consensual and did not want to testify against him, so the military threatened them with prosecution (I presume also for conduct unbecoming). At that point, the NAACP objected to the historically painful situation of white females being coerced to falsely allege rape against a black man, as a pretext to destroying a black man. The NAACP's feminist contacts pressured it to withdraw its objection. The NAACP withdrew its objection, and the military sent Simpson to jail for 25 years.

Some descriptions do not even acknowledge any doubt to the Simpson conviction, nor mention coercion behind the female accusations against him. In the Simpson case, feminism egregiously trumped racism in order to destroy yet another black male life.

I think that I vaguely remember those two. It is diagraceful. However, if feminsm trumps racism and this kid is innocent, the Rodney King riots in Los Angeles will look like a warm up. I have a gut feeling that the kid is going to be railroaded to set precedent for drunk sex. I also have the feeling that girl set out to do thjis from the start.

So the 6 month Turner sentence was sufficient for other women to come forward?

Actually, that makes this sound like a copycat allegation.

Anybody know the particulars on the details of this case? Because the statement, "If there was sex when there was an abundance of alcohol, there is no consent" is not the legal standard for sexual assault that I have heard. And, just her attitude and demeanor makes it seem like she has an agenda to ruin a man's life and become the next victim who is fawned over. And, if you are thinking, what woman wants to be fawned over by making a false allegation? Jackie Coakley, Porn Star E. Sulkoweicz, and a number of college girls who are coming forward with false allegations. She seems like an angry feminist who is using the wrong standard to say she was a victim of sexual assault. If the details are that she was on top during this tryst, then I highly doubt that she was too drunk to consent. And, I don't know if "mistake of fact" applies in NC, but in many jurisdictions, the accused must not have a reasonable mistake of fact as to her ability to consent due to impairment. I'm white and from the South, and it sounds like a little white Southern girl is regretting having sex with a black man.
