Woman sexually assaults boy and tries to force him to marry her; police initially refuse to file a case because the accused was a woman

There was apparently a video of the woman sexually assaulting the boy, however:

The boy's brother had first approached the police with a complaint, but the police had allegedly refused to file a case, as the accused was a woman while the victim was a boy, contrary to the usual kind of cases filed in the state under the law.

The boy's family then approached the court which instructed the police to lodge a complaint and investigate the matter.

So the only reason the police are perusing this case is because the family took it to court, and now the court is forcing them to. Yet even still…

"Following the court's instructions, we have lodged an FIR against the woman for sexually assaulting a minor. Prima facie the matter appears to be a love affair. It came to our knowledge during the initial investigation that, on the basis of some text messages exchanged between the couple and call recordings, the woman was mounting pressure on the boy to marry her but he refused."

…it's pretty obvious that the officers are not taking this case very seriously

"This might be the first case in the state where a woman has been booked under POCSO following a complaint by a minor boy," the SO added.

Maybe because any other time a complaint was made by a minor boy against a woman, you dismissed it as a "love affair" just like you're doing in this case?

This is why I wholeheartedly believe there are thousands more female rapist and child molesters and sex predators than conviction statistics show: because so often boys don't report because they know they aren’t going to be taken seriously, or they do report and are indeed not take seriously and the report isn't ever even pursued/the woman isn't ever actually charged or convicted of anything

I can relate. I was raped in university by a girl I had been seeing off and on. Told my friends what happened and every last one - male and female - told me to be happy that I got laid.
