Hi, i am a 23 year old egalitarian, i am not an activist of any kind i am for men's rights and women's rights and against feminism, but i have never been an activist. Being in favor of true equality which doesn't exist in the Western world where we live in an gynocentric society which caters to women's privilege and ignores men's issues , men being the only ones who are systemically discriminated by gender, i decided to write an email to popular news outlets such as The Huffington Post, The New York Times, Yahoo News and others. I wrote to them the men are discriminated in divorce deals, alimony, child support, custody over kids, prison time for the same crime, education, violence based on gender, domestic violence and everything else which i'm sure most here already know about. My email was a simple list of discrimination men face, and how society only focuses on women's needs, and how feminism is one sided and caters to women's privilege, how it only demonizes men (mansplaining but no womansplaining, manspreading but no womanspreading, toxic masculinity but no toxic femininity, Yes means Yes law which is only against men, VAWA which is sexist etc), and how feminism has nothing to do with equality. My wording wasn't the best as you can probably notice because English is my second language. So never expected anyone to even reply back, but The New York Times wanted to publish my idea and make an article out of it. The needed to contact me but i wasn't available at the moment. The New York Times or even other news outlets can reach a lot of people and make these issues better known. So if anyone wants to write to any major news outlet about men's issues, and Western world gynocentrism, and how feminism is so popular yet it's bigoted and sexist, please do it, because apparently they they are interested in it. My email to them was poorly written and it was mainly only a few lists of male discriminations from here: http://www.realsexism.com/, yet they were interested in making an article about it. If someone wrote to them and they would make an article about it it would we great for the MRM.
