Of all the negative aspects of this year's never-ending election hoopla, there are some positive aspects to it:

We have learned that social media - especially Twitter and Facebook - are adept at shaping public opinions on virtually every aspect of life to their convenience. The short summary is: pro-Hillary, pro-feminism, pro-illegal-immigration; anti-men, anti-gun, anti-Trump, anti-third-party, anti-conservative. Any contrary information is purposely suppressed, ignored or redirected out of the existence of the consciousness of the consumer of said media.
Specifically with respect to homosexuals, they have been thrown under the media bus. When fifty homosexuals (primarily men) are killed by a radical islamist, the media censors that fact. The news subreddit did the same thing. The president didn't even say much about it. Homosexuals are apparently no longer a useful constituency to the elites now that gay marriage is legal, because there's nothing left for them to campaign on. But instead of being overt about it, they do things like shadow bans or use other straw men to quell anyone whose ideas are contrary to the narrative they want to portray.
We are edging closer the actual destruction of Western society and the beginning of a faustian combination of Brave New World and 1984. Yes, I'm going to say it just like that, because men are making virtually no ground back in their rights. The SJWs will kafkatrap anyone who is white, a male, or who dares speak against the same narrative, even if that man is homosexual or part of some other previously "protected" class. The elites will pass additional unconstitutional laws against freedom of speech and/or ignore existing laws such as hate crime laws when said crimes are against a group not supporting the narrative, particularly men. When the news feeds that are obviously under human influence allow anti-male talk, but prohibit pro-MRA/MGTOW posts and ignore the numerous terrorists using their platforms, and the authorities do nothing because of a false claim of common carrier status (i.e. we just carry information), you know it has come to the bitter end.

There's no need to pretend any more. The only defense to this is to not pay attention to the various news feeds that are doctored. It's time to engage people the old fashioned way, and that's by telling them they're being brainwashed by these idiots in person and citing examples. Get out in droves to spectate in court rooms for prominent men's rights cases. Make them look like Baghdad Bob on March 10, 2003 and call them out when they deny the bombs going off behind them. Most of all, remember that these are people who will never follow the rules and will change them arbitrarily, so don't fall into their traps.

They're going to stay only as long as people use it.
