I used to be able to watch Cops but this is painful. They both admit to assaulting each other, and even that she started it. He's going to jail. Wtf? Even the cop saying "Don't worry, it's not your fault." So she gets comforted, and he goes to jail?

Nah. Did you see that smirk when the Cop mentioned the Laws in Cali to her? Here's what happened. They got called she talked. They cut the camera they explained the laws to her and made her change her story she makes it worse.

He deserves it for sticking around with the bitch but its probably to be with his son so hes actually also probably a decent father. Whose stuck with a crazy bitch.

He seems like hes very much in control just frustrated understandably so.

The fact that her story changes from 1 officer to the other tells me shes lying. If he pushed her why didnt she mention it to the one officer? She added that to the story the second time after she had first aggressor laws explained off camera [refer to the smirk]. I wouldnt be suprised if he did put her in some kind of restraining hold though or probably a push inside.

I agree with you man, I saw that same bitchy smile that her emotions and distorted view of reality can actually CONTROL and hurt him while basically conforming the world around her to her own brand of crazy. She's never going to change, grow, or get well at that rate.

It isn't 'first aggressor'. They don't give a fuck who is 'first'. The cops even seemed to believe that what kicked it off was her slamming her phone in his head. The law is 'primary aggressor'. And unfortunately it isn't even based on did the 'primarily' aggression during the violence, but instead more on who 'could do' more harm to the other. Guess who that usually is though?

This clip was pretty damn familiar to me. A month ago I had the same situation as I imagine this one mostly went, though I don't know if her lies were only that, I know I never pushed my wife while she slammed a door into me and went nuts on me for at least a minute. I was very clearly injured (though minor injuries) and bleeding. She had no marks. I walked off without defending myself and she sought me out three times until I locked myself in my office. Then she called the cops after threatening me how she could 'get me in trouble'. I came out to them, showed some of my injuries, told them exactly what happened, and just as quick as this guy they had me in cuffs then the car. She said 'he pushed me' and she was scared. One time during the violence I let her walk behind me, faced the original direction, thinking if/how to get my two year old from her in her psychotic state.. She grabbed my arm and when she was about to pull me off my feet I slooowly rotated my arm, with my hand open, so that she would have to let go as due to the geometry / leverage my arm would slowly twist toward the opening of her grip and our arms would be crossing each others. Talking to the cop, the cop had the same dumbass conversation as the video. "so, uhhh... he put you in some kind of arm-bar, okay"

The Primary Aggressor laws are ridiculous. Violence against women and children would be a lot better off if: 1) the police didn't determine who is the 'bigger threat' based off the same gender stereotypes that we are supposed to pretend don't exist.. this is a big strong man, he is the more dangerous aggressor. and 2) if women did not think it okay to literally assault a man (though it clearly IS okay, in fact I and maybe this guy, but many men DO go to jail simply FOR being assaulted). Most people probably can't keep themselves from retaliating... so it would be a hell of a lot better for women and kids if they didn't attack their men.. It was hard for me not to, and I purposefully didn't even defend myself as to avoid the legal trouble I was in anyway. The fact is, if you make protections ONLY for women, that the man will predominantly go to jail.. then women that are trying to hurt and abuse a man will always opt to involve the police since they can just say they are scared or 'he pushed me' even with evidence to the contrary of victim/assailant.. because the violence proves they want to hurt and abuse him, they'll be happy to say 'I'm scared and he's a bad man' if it means they can not only be violent but then further hurt and abuse him with the legal system.

This shit is fucked up really.

edit- here's another one (there are scores) this represents 'primary aggressor' better Old, disabled man, hit in the head with frying pan. He said after she did that, he hit her back one time. She said they were arguing then he pushed her slightly when she pushed him and oh-my-god she touched the counter so she hit him with a frying pan... Cops are all poor her as typical. They even spell out 'primary aggressor' and discuss how even though she hit him with a frying pan he needs to go in for felony domestic violence. That he was probably in her face and she felt intimated... you know, while she's screaming and yelling at him... and so it's okay that she started it with a frying pan to the head, but he needs to go in because hers was 'defense' for frying pan assaults over feelings, but his punch AFTER that was NOT defense, because he's a big strong man. In the end they trick him into putting his hands behind his back and tell the truth: that tonight (and for at least a month he won't be legally able to return to his home that his girlfriend can legally steal from him) that she is safe and they are separated and that's basically all they care about. They don't care if they start the violence, they don't care if they finish it... they know that if they arrest the 'big strong intimidating man' that even if it was the woman aggressor the two parties won't be fighting, and it's a lot emotionally easier to treat the weaker sex as a victim than haul them in for hitting their men with frying pans.

Yea man. I'm working on evicting my wife from my (house) and life. I haven't and won't cohabitate with her again at all, but opted for small hidden audio and video recording on myself during child custody exchanges. I think if I ever feel like cohabitating with another woman (right now I'm pretty fucking disillusioned) I will have some kind of recording in and out of my house. It feels more important to have cameras inside your house than outside for 'security'.

I was luckily acquitted last week. We had photographs of what was left of my injuries after getting out of jail (in the city and county facilities I was processed and spent some time-- of course they would laugh when I suggest maybe they could get some photos of my injuries since the incident was an assault and those are the only injuries of either party). My lawyer didn't even have me testify. We didn't speak the truth or set straight the events the prosecutor led my wife on, or the faulty chronology. He just cross-examined that I NEVER injured her in any way, didn't ever shove her to the ground or get her in any kind of arm-bar as the report stated, and that I did in fact walk away from her and at least three times... Then he moved to acquit and the prosecutor was fuming. There was indeed domestic violence that night-- it was pretty shit to be the only victim and then kicked from your home and child a month, dragged through the mud of the penal system, and still have 'charges' on your record for it. What I meant to get at in my rambling is that I don't think even having video proof matters. The cops wouldn't have gone to my office with me to review it and they wouldn't have given a shit what it showed. They looked in the face of clear physical evidence and bleeding and contusions on my body, and no marks on her and still took the same action. They didn't care to look at it and my lawyer was willing to show photos in court if necessary (we had a great female judge and it proved unnecessary), but even with photos and clear evidence it seems pretty hard to flip the table and get a female false accuser to get caught up in the same 'justice' system that is so easy for them to wield.

It definitely is good to have recording for ones own protection... I just don't think it can keep you out of the clink when you have a woman that wants to hurt and abuse. It might help in court though, I was pleasantly surprised to see more justice there than on the streets and still doubt that one could avoid false arrest with video, nor in court that one could actually get the 'real' assailant charged once they falsely accuse.

You're holding men to a far higher standard than women. You expect men to not retaliate against violence, while you expect women to ... what?

Sure, most men can stoically take a hit without letting instinct kick in. But some men fall short of this standard.

On the other hand, unless a man or woman is absolute trash, it's really easy to just not strike the first blow. Yes, some men initiate violence against women - they're absolute trash too.

A campaign aimed at stopping women hitting men might have a very good impact - as you only need to convince them to do the bare minimum expected of a human being in civilised society - not initiate violence. I think it would be a great idea, as female violence against men is a very common predecessor of violence against women (something we can all agree is a bad thing).

If its so terrible for men to hit women then is it okay to have law enforcement hold women responsible for hitting men first?

Yes he was drunk and out of control but there is a HUGE difference between retaliating to the extreme and unprovoked attacking.

And I find it interesting the only time anyone worries about ths is when a woman attacks a man, THEN and only then does anyone worry about how violent the self defense or retaliation is.

Its a formula that you see all the time on internet videos.

Woman hits man. Crowd cheers for her and does nothing.

Man hits back to protect himself. Suddenly the crowd wants to jump in and prevent "violence against women".

Funny how the crowd had no problem with her hitting first.

Simple if you want to protect women from getting hit by men teach women to not hit men and actually use the damn law to hold them responsible when they do.
