Story written in the most sympathetic way for the female who shot a male cop. If the shooter was male, would the writer have included as relevant the fact that he is a teacher; was asking how the victim was doing; was kept in interrogation for 13 hours; withheld information that the vic died, etc? (Effect on MRA: media bias)
It appears that the shooter made two false allegations. First, she says that she shot an intruder who she believed was breaking into her house and she wasn't expecting any visitors that night, which would lead one to believe that she did not know it was the vic who had entered her home. Then, she changed her story to say that the vic was actually abusing her. (Effect on MRA: False Abuse Allegation Culture)
The reporter does not report the most relevant facts based on the other stories. It sounds like that this teacher has a borderline personality disorder. She is an employed woman who has to pay her ex-husband child support and was ordered to pay an increase by the judge the day of the shooting. Something must be wrong with her for her not to have primary custody of the child/ren and receiving child support. She was placed on 3 month leave of absence from her school. Why? What happened and what did she do? The vic was allegedly attempting to break up with her when he was shoot at the foot of her stairs while she was at the top of the stairs. Sounds like the BPD teacher felt like she was being abandoned, devalued her victim, and killed him. (Effect on MRA: Media bias)

Ooh, I know! Is it because...it's all about how she "fees" about what she did and about suggesting mitigating circumstances rather than about the fact that a lowly male has had his life cut short by a woman, who is after all the only being who was capable of giving his life meaning should she have so chosen?

No idea, it looks like he may have been attacking her when she shot him. There's just no way to know from this article.

Just because women use it as an excuse when they shoot men, doesn't mean it doesn't actually happen sometimes.

Most of you get gold stars. What I saw in the article were that the title is written in a sympathetic way to the woman. Also she changed her story several times.
