but yes Jews and Muslims will make quite a fuss I imagine.

If Germany is any indication, they will. You remember the summary mentions that German courts ruled male genital mutilation unlawful, right? Well, it doesn't mention what happened next: Many Jews went ballistic (some Muslims, too, but they kept it more on the dl) and threatened a new diaspora if Germany didn't make male genital mutilation on newborn legal.

...Which Germany promptly did. On 12/12/12, a law was passed that expressly allows MGM to be performed on baby boys. Yes, it violates German Basic Law (Germany's version of a Constitution). Yes, it violates Human Rights, by which Germany alleges to be bound.

But when it comes to German politicians weighing their constitution and Human Rights against a Ms Knobloch, huffing and puffing about "purest anti-semitism", the core principles Germany is built on have to take a step back. Naturally. Because it's antisemitic to say that people have a right to an unharmed body. Even when those people are boys.
