I respect CHF immensely for what she's trying to do in good faith, but feminism was always a fraud. The female supremacists and male haters were the majority even in the age of the suffragettes, and their tactics were deliberately misleading and dishonest since the beginning. They wanted all the perks of being a man without any of the responsibilities, while preserving all the benefits granted to women by a genuinely patriarchal society - equality was as much of an empty buzzword then as it is now. It's a myth that feminism was a good thing hijacked by crazies somewhere along the way.

I also add it really underlines where feminism started to go right, yet how it ultimately went wrong, what caused and what's needed to set things right.

I think a lot of this has to do with job security. If your one of the rare feminist in academia in the 50's and 60's there was a lot to do. Lot's of access that needed gained and walls to be broken down; Lot's to write and publish about. Modern feminist don't have a lot to fight for so they've decided to create a paper tiger (rape culture) to ensure their utility. They also can't switch and start supporting genuine men's rights issues because that would go against the privilege and patriarchy narrative they've built their house on. Furthermore, they've shut down oppositional academic ideas through hiring policies and PC shaming tactics. It's hard to have a healthy academic debate when everyone in your faculty agrees with you.

Here's to hoping the house of cards tumbles soon.

Deansdale is right. I vividly remember the early days of NOW and Ms. and have read hundreds of feminist books and articles from the period, and 2nd wave feminism was dominated by separatists and misandry and (yes, really) man-hating lesbians who viewed feminism as a way to generate more sexual opportunities for themselves by destroying heterosexual marriage.
