Genuine ask here, if an odd one.

I'm an atheist, but I like the idea of going to church. I see it as an opportunity to interact with a group of like-minded people and expand my social circle if I can just find the right one.

The thing is, I'm an atheist who can't stand the idea of pretending to believe in magical thinking.

The church I attend now covers part of my needs. They don't require me to stand up and say I believe a bunch of make-believe shit every week. They even take joy in pointing out the inconsistencies of the bible, and how silly some of it is. It is treated as a bunch of stories, and there are some lessons to be learned from some of them. Like Aesop's Fables kinda.

BUT....it is full to the brim with liberals and tubmlr feminists, and dudes wearing teevas with their khaki pants. This does not please the redpill side of me. Really they're nice well-intentioned people, just not my people. I've come to realize I take little pleasure in their company.

Ideally I'd like to find a church that doesn't require magical thinking, but holds other traditional values. There's a megachurch in my hometown that is full to the brim with hotties I swear. I suspect it might suit my desire for meeting people with traditional values, but it also seems kinda cultish. Not sure if I should hold my nose and give it a try?

Cheers
