This article just seems smarmy to me. With all the feminists and conservatives pushing marriage this just seemed like an appropriate thing to post -- the mods can decide if it fits MR or not.

Marriage should be delegalised (have no legal status) just like any other religious ritual like ordination or baptism.

It's a legal contract which can be broken without sanction; the courts don't care who's to blame, or who had an affair and 'broke' the 'contract' (laugh!) - they just split everything 50/50 and had the kids to the mother and shaft the husband/father - who's been an idiot and sighned a deal that offers him no protection, is blatantly biased and against his best interests.

Most men today will know many divorced men who'll attest to this, and as a result marriage is dying out.

Good ridence to it.

It's definitely a mixed bag of an article, but I do appreciate the joke being played on the feminist harpy who doesnt believe that it should matter what men are looking for in a woman. Good luck in landing one of these men who are at their "peak" of eligibility, lady!

I had to remind myself multiple times reading this that it is directed at women who view relationships as a means to marriage. If your end goal is to find a man to marry then this provides some solid statistical advice. If your end goal is to find a great life mate, then I'm not sure the advice is all that sound.

I reckon the man should just go back to his original research results, which are a man will choose one woman over another because on is nicer to him.

Feminism can not even allow a male to choose of his own free will over two women who may be nice, but one is better. As the study shows one women in a slightly worse light than the other and does not actually help woman find men who are ready to be married, them the study and it's creator are chauvinists and sexist.

Who cares why men don't want to merry recently. We all know it's because they loose too much in divorce they refuse to make partnerships legal. Feminism has empowered women, and males no longer feel like supporting and protecting.

Men don't like strong powerful women outside a fetish power setting.
