Mary P. Koss thinks that it is "inappropriate" to consider men who have been raped by women as rape victims, because "their penetration experience is not similar to what women are reporting". She calls it "unwanted contact".

This is how Mary P. Koss, one of the most prominent feminist researchers in the field of sexual violence in the United States, feels about male rape victims.

If you ever see a feminist talk about how "the patriarchy teaches men not to cry or talk about their feelings", show them this.

Canada has had a version of affirmative consent as Federal Law since I believe, 1993 or thereabouts.

https://www.questia.com/library/journal/1G1-343944890/affirmative-sexual-consent-in-canadian-law-jurisprudence

This article examines the development of affirmative sexual consent in Canadian jurisprudence and legal theory and its adoption in Canadian law. Affirmative sexual consent requirements were explicitly proposed in Canadian legal literature in 1986, codified in the 1992 Criminal Code amendments, and recognized as an essential element of the common law and statutory definitions of sexual consent by the Supreme Court of Canada in a series of cases decided since 1994.

INAL but I think you're misunderstanding the meaning of this change in the law. Go read the existing definition of sexual assault and consent in the criminal code and it pretty clearly still employs a no means no standard. Consent can't be implied ("implied" in the legal sense), which may be one of the impacts of this change, but if consent has been given in a way that a reasonable person would interpret as consent, it must be withdrawn rather than placing the burden on the other partner to ask constantly or read minds. So in your everyday, normal sexual interaction, the standard is still no means no as far as I understand from everything I've read on the subject.

Just as with the Florida alimony bill, this will create more work for trial lawyers.

Why are certain parties so interested in watering down the definition of rape?

Ayn Rand explained it best. The goal of an authoritarian police state is having enough laws that every single man is guilty of breaking some so that the state can prosecute anyone on a whim.

Shit, I never thought I'd see the day I agreed with a post starting with "Ayn Rand explained it best."

its so they can take away your rights to vote and your rights to bear arms.

Gotta reach that "1 in 5 women" target somehow, eh?

How do these things gain momentum? Everyone with common sense knows this is wrong, there has been Harvard Law professors say this is wrong, and sexologist so say that this isn't the way sex is, yet they gain momentum.

Activists with an ideological axe to grind and the rest of society loafing around and letting it happen. Many people erroneously conclude that "it won't be that bad" or "it will pass". It is that bad and it won't pass unless we make it pass.

Feminism has had 40-50 years to get us to this point. Anti-feminism is late to the party (at least in significant numbers) but we're here now. Time to take out the trash.

A government that codifies this crap into law should be overthrown.
