We know men aren't welcome in "women's spaces" 99.99% of the time, so why would this speaker expect men to just magically show-up when it's convenient for her?

So few men go to hear women speak because they only speak with other women about women issues. When men normally speak, they speak about broad subjects that affect humanity and not just men. Very few men sit about talking about mens issues but most women thrive on it.

But wouldn't it be a microagression for a man to exist in the same room as a woman? It would be an implicit threat of violence or a reminder of patriarchy or something.

Why do so few men show up ?

Because so many women speakers demonize men and few men enjoy such abuse any more than they absolutely have to ... so they avoid it.

Stop speaking about gender studies and maybe we will. I have no interest in sitting in a crowd and being shamed when I can be doing something to improve my own life or at least do something enjoyable.

Generally most "women-centric events" --events specifically addressing women only in a social or political context are intellectual cancer. Its's nothing but pandering to ridiculously damaged and bitter insecure moaners blaming the world for their own personal failure.
