I've hung out with Kate before at The Grove here in L.A. before. She's a nice lady but really not that funny, although she tried to be. I feel she has some unreasonable views on the world, like she doesn't feel that we should make fun of certain things - which will just limit what little comedy she can do. (one of those things stopped our contact because I disagreed)

Her views on the sex industry found hostility in a minority of the Goldsmith's Feminist Society, and Smurthwaite alerted the Comedy Society to the potential for a protest of some sort.

Hate this woman but I dont see why they cancelled. Just 8 tickets? So what. Universities shouldnt be bowing to protest and unrest whatever the circumstance. They should be beacons of free speech and should go out of their way to expose students to all forms of ideas, including crappy feminist comedy.

Just my opinion.
