I'm a libertarian so I have my criticisms of Sanders, but this "Bernie Bros" thing is a manufactured lie.

There are very legitimate reasons to prefer Bernie to Hillary (even as a libertarian I think he's better). It isn't about sexism or a desire to keep women in the kitchen. Bernie has a stronger record as a foreign policy noninterventionist, and as a civil libertarian, than Hillary. He's also more strongly leftist on economics than Hillary.

Therefore, there are legitimate policy reasons to favour (or not, depending on one's perspective) Bernie over Hillary. It isn't about any sort of misogyny or desire to keep women out of leadership roles, its about political differences.

"Bernie Bros" are a lie invented for political leverage. They exist to make it look like "only a sexist wouldn't vote for Hillary".

Bernie Bros seems to be the same basic "Point a finger at the worst member of a group, accuse entire group of being the same as the worst member" style smear campaign as was done to GamerGate, and previously atheism.

I guess they figured if the tactic worked well getting black people lynched back in the day, it'll work well trying to get politically inconvenient people lynched now.
