Female musician asserts without proof that music producers demand sex from her. Of course the feminists take the accusation as indisputable evidence.

I wish her luck. Its her production so more power to her.

And at least this woman is actually doing something rather than writing post after post about supposed misogyny in Hollywood and trying to make men out to be woman haters because they dont prefere women over men in tv/movies (which is what most feminists do).

Call me when someone tries to force women (or any group) into someone's production against the wishes to the showmaker.

I'm all for encouraging more women to venture into areas where they are not well represented. I'm going to write a letter to my local Waste Management and tell them I only want my garbage removed by garbagewomen.

I see this more positive than someone whiny like Jada Pinkett Smith.

You could boycott awards, or since you have achieved a certain level of power, create something to give a group of people a chance in that field.

When it comes to female directors i know like two. Kathryn Bigalow. Hurt Locker/Zero Dark thirty. Lynne Ramsay, Need to talk about Kevin,

So this woman is making a TV show and wants to use just female directors. Meh whatever.

It's not like she wants an all female production, that would be pretty bad. I work in post but i know in production there is a decent mix of men and women.

But female directors, there really isn't that many well known. It might be the case that there isn't many looking to do it, or it could be there isn't many given the chance. Either way, this seems like a positive initiative rather than a poly to exclude men from directing because that just ain't gonna happen.

Excluding men from things was considered acceptable at my college. There were numerous events that specifically said that men were not allowed on posters and flyers that advertised the event. One time a men's rights group tried to create an event that was men only to see what would happen and feminists flipped shit and the administration shut it down, declaring that it wasn't inclusive enough.

That was just the experience at my college. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Sounds like you learned something pretty important from your college experience! It's a pretty common lesson men learn during undergraduate study. I did.

Yes and it's sadly becoming more and more evident that colleges are attempting to remove free speech, and to punish anyone who has a viewpoint that differs from the rhetoric of the social justice warriors. My hope is that there will continue to be students that refuse to be silenced and will take a stand against this indoctrination that so many college students face. I am not saying that I regret going to college. I couldn't have my current job, which I love, without a college degree.

Part of me does feel that the social justice warriors, that have taken over so many college campuses, want those with dissenting opinions to not go to college. College graduates tend to become leaders of communities, deciders of policy, and educators of future generations. If social justice warriors are successful in lessening the number of dissenters that attend college, they will have more of a chance of either wiping out dissenting thought or at least making dissent illegal. This is all just my conjecture, but I feel that it is a strong explanation of what is currently happening.

I did as well. Now I don't invite women into any area of my private life ever.

Attempts like this to create segregated societies will always end in failure. Which is what this is, like other blatantly communist/socialist experiments such as the guy who raised the salaries of all his workers to $70,000 they're going to end up falling on their own arses.

Trying to act like this is like trying to deny gravity exists, it's just going to end badly. If a woman wants to do something for certain and can in fact do it, then I'm all for it, however just putting women in for the sake of putting them in? It's not going to work, in the same way that putting any other race or gender in never works in general.

These idiots never learn.

Pertinent to this thread, this all-female production company went bankrupt in less than two years.

It's her show, her rules. Plus, it's the Oprah Winfrey Network. You can't be surprised it's geared toward women or especially accommodating to women.

Except that if a man tried the same thing, it wouldn't be his show his rules.
