I really love the FDS philosophy and want to be part of this community, so I created a new account because my main has some very obvious identifiers.

I'm in my mid twenties, and recently broke up with my LVX of 8 years. Since then I have been thriving, but there's no way I'm going to go back into the dating scene until I'm everything I want to be for *myself*. I was stuck in that relationship for far too long, I felt like he was my responsibility, he didn't have an ounce of iniative (for anything in his life lol, dude was 24 and never had a job).

I've made a promise to myself, that I will not be getting into a relationship again unless it is with the person I want to be with LONG TERM. Additionally, I am not going to commit to somebody unless they are everything I want and need them to be, there and then.
I definitely have some pick-me tendencies I need to work on and iron out, this is I won't be dating for a long time (honestly it's probably going to be years).
Yesterday my psych told me for the first time in over a decade I don't meet the diagnostic criteria for depression. My best friend came over with flowers, a card (happy birthday was crossed out and now says "Congratulations for being in remission for Major Depressive Disorder"), and the most beautiful bundle... I could honestly talk all day about how incredible she is. Truly, I have stories to tell.

I'm so excited to see what the future brings me and I am absolutely ready to finally invest in myself, so hello!! You can call me Vixen!
