I don't understand why the media are giving her such an easy time of it. She effectively kidnapped her own son as she was no longer a legal guardian. All of this in direct opposition to a court order.

She should be punished for this - it will be a surprise if the boys father does not push the court to restrict access even further if not completely as she is clearly capable of taking him.

I read the article and watched the clip and still don't know what was the lie she told the court about her ex husband. Seems like that would be an important detail for the reader.
