Study finds bias of female teachers against male students; female teachers give male students lower grades and performance reviews and male students are aware. No evidence that this is due to socioeconomic status.

TIL that the infamous CDC rape survey found not only 1,270,000 female rape victims per year but also 1,267,000 men who were forced to penetrate. The number of men who had been reported as raped was statistically insignificant because made to penetrate is not under the definition of rape.

He knows he would suffer some pretty severe criticism (as well as applause) if he did an AMA on r/Mensrights, so evidently he's taking the easy route and going to a right wing safe space.

[–]EvilPundit 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Or maybe TheRedPill just asked him to do an AMA. Karen Straughan did one there, too.

I've personally arranged men's rights AMAs four times, on r/IAMA. It starts with asking.

[–]_chukee 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fair enough.

I would love to see both Karen and Milo do an AMA on r/MensRights.

[–]GayLubeOil 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Then go ahead and email them

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

I didn't know that any substantial number of MRAs strongly disapproved of him. He's really an excellent advocate for men and boys.

http://www.breitbart.com/london/2015/05/28/no-one-wants-to-live-in-a-world-of-uncircumcised-penises/

As someone who's focus in activism is ending circumcision, I would rather have a feminist that truly respects bodily autonomy than this guy.

I can't see him as anything but a monster.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

He's still a strong net-positive. There's always someone more radical than you.

[–]Eryemil 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

There's many posters on r/MR that dismiss circumcision as a valid issue because they're circumcised American men and come with all the baggage that implies.

If we start dismissing the issues that we find difficult to accept or relate to then we have no movement. What do I, as a gay man, have to suffer from unfair divorce laws, false rape claims or biased family courts? That's not to say I don't care about issues that affect all men, I do. But if I took the same viewpoint I would never have become an MRA. I arrived here through the intactivist movement (which is more organised, bigger and more successful the MRM anyway) and through that experience was able to grasp all the other ways society ignores male suffering.

But the day MRAs start ignoring genital mutilation in favour of issues that benefit them exclusively and are easy to support is the day I go back to just identifying as an intactivist.

I'm sure many people would say that I shouldn't let the door hit me. But if we don't stand up for ALL human rights intactivists won't be the last ones to leave.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I didn't say that we should ignore it. I said that we shouldn't shun people who disagree with us if they're overall helpful for our movement.

[–]Eryemil 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I understand all about allies of convenience. I've made use of Neo-Nazis and White Nationalists in the past, simply because it was opportune and I'm a Hispanic gay guy.

That doesn't mean I respect them or like them. Too many people here actually think that Milo is a good guy and will openly express admiration for him.

[–]_chukee 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

He's really an excellent advocate for men and boys.

He's decent, I agree. I was referring to his far right wing politics. Many of the issues affecting men derive from traditional conservatism, which he supports.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Traditional conservatives have never actively stood in the way of the MRM or any of our goals. It's not a perfect system, but they're not our enemies---which is to say something different than that MRAs necessarily agree with them.

[–]_chukee 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

Traditional conservatives have never actively stood in the way of the MRM or any of our goals.

I'm gonna have to strongly disagree on that one. Hell just last month:

Of the 2.2 million people incarcerated in the United States, about half are parents, and at least 1 in 5 has a child support obligation. For most, the debt will keep piling up throughout their imprisonment: By law or by practice, child support agencies in much of the country consider incarceration a form of “voluntary impoverishment.” Parents like Harris, the logic goes, have only themselves to blame for not earning a living.

Congressional Republicans oppose the new policy [reform]. They argue that it would undercut the 1996 welfare reform act, which pressed states to locate missing fathers and bill them for child support so taxpayers wouldn’t bear the full burden of their children’s welfare.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/for-men-in-prison-child-support-becomes-a-crushing-debt/2015/10/18/e751a324-5bb7-11e5-b38e-06883aacba64_story.html

Tradcons have traditionally:

  • supported conscription
  • supported MGM
  • supported "tough on crime" measures for non-violent offences that imprison (mostly) men
  • supported private prisons, which incentivize the incarceration of (mostly) men
  • supported the "war on drugs" (see above)
  • supported the militarization of the police (see above)
  • supported anti-prostitution and anti-pornography crusades
  • opposed gay rights
  • supported needless wars for profit that disproportionately kill and maim men and boys
  • supported union busting, which reduces the collective bargaining power of working class men
  • supported chivalrous notions of "women and children first" and male as disposable workhorse
  • supported gynocentric DV laws
  • combatted efforts to help the homeless (mostly men); eg under the Cameron administration homelessness increased by 80%
  • supported deregulation of corporations, including w/respect safety regulations (most workplace deaths are male)
  • supported increases in wealth inequality, which harms men (hypergamy)
  • opposed abortion, which in turn [would have] put even more men on the hook for child support
  • opposed legal parental surrender
  • opposed the ERA (Phylis Schlafly et. al) which would have helped men
  • supported no default divorce (eg in California under Reagan, and Federally by conservative justices).

I could go on.

In their favour, conservatives have:

  • opposed affirmative action
  • opposed some alimony laws
  • recognized that men and women are not the same
  • opposed feminism -- ostensibly. Mostly it's just lip service. They remain just as gynocentric as everyone else.

thats the real total kill

And yet it was conservatives who stalled VAWA during an election and only caved after enough "war on women" crying from the msm, it is conservative States such as SC that are introducing Fathers Rights legislation, it is conservative websites who have been calling out the anti-male rape policies on campus.

You just seem to have a problem with "right wingers"...well get the fuck over it. Left wingers have been the single worst reason why anti-male policies/laws have been passed.

California, New Jersey, Connecticut, Washington, New York. All of these States have passed or are trying to pass some version of "affirmative consent" laws (Connecticut even went all out and passed Affirmative consent AND "preponderance of evidence"). Guess what they all have in common. With the exception of the NJ Governor they are under Democrat control.

So you can cry about typical liberal grievances ("wealth inequality") and bs (Republicans profiting off war?) but it doesn't change the fact that ALL of the anti-male laws are coming from the Democrat side. Yet even while that's the case and while it is Democrat sites like HuffPo and Salon who are pushing a one sided view of things like the new Rape laws and policies that are enacted or that certain (Female Democratic) Senators are hoping to enact, it is STILL Conservative mens advocates who get all the shit from this shitty, left wing Subreddit.

BTW that list of yours is a HUGE stretch. You take liberal talking points and then go to lengths to point out when men are the main 'victims' of it (deregulation of corporations for example). Again, it's a huge stretch but it's what people like you have to do to justify hating on Conservatives even while it's Democrats who are gleefully passing anti-male bill after anti-male bill.

[–]wazzup987 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

yet it was conservatives who stalled VAWA during an election and only caved after enough "war on women" crying from the msm,

right they only blocked it because it had provision that would help gay couple not because of any of the bullshit pertaining to men. it was pure homophobia. you really cant claim that one for mens rights as their opposition had nothing to with MRM positions

who have been calling out the anti-male rape policies on campus.

cough cough sargon of akkad, mundane matt, luois le louve game gate which is overwhelming left wing libertarian .

ALL of the anti-male laws are coming from the Democrat side

and the democratic party has been moving to right for ages now. i mean hilary is center right politician. also we dont have a major libertarian party on either side of the political spectrum. i can show how republicans are fear mongering cucks like the democrats just about different things.

. Yet even while that's the case and while it is Democrat sites like HuffPo and Salon who are pushing a one sided view of things like the new Rape laws

more feminist than democrat and feminists tend to be of the left in this incarnation but premarxist feminists have been on the right pander to cucked politicians on the platform of wont you think of the women and children. dont act like you sides shit dont stink. and again right is anti feminist to attack the left by proxy. they are still gynocentric as a whole.

Again, it's a huge stretch but it's what people like you have to do to justify hating on Conservatives even while it's Democrats who are gleefully passing anti-male bill after anti-male bill.

i am pretty sure most of us criticize the left when they do retarded shit. right now feminist/socjus is the lefts tea party. a large portion of the left has woken up to that cancer and is mobilizing to excise it. can you honestly say the same of the right and the tea party?

[–]Pornography_saves_li 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

If you think Obama, or Hillary, are 'center right', you are out of your fucking mind. Just for reference, i live in saskatchewan, canada, probably the most left wing province in a country most view as barely removed from communist. Obama, or Hillary, would be extreme leftists here.

[–]wazzup987 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you think Obama, or Hillary, are 'center right', you are out of your fucking mind.

no you are. look at there policies not what they say. hilary is center right corporate candidate and obama on policy if you actually look at what he has done is to the right of bush. I eman what does obama have to his name? gay marriage? whoopied fucking do. ACA? not far enough, should have emulated germanies model. what else? .... thats about it. what far right things has he done? expanded the war on terror gleefully expanded the surveillance state. expanded the military industrial complex. and jerked off the corporation and told every one its rain. he center right get over it. he sold the left on hope and change (and lets keep it real being half black). what did he actually give us? more right wing policy.

Obama, or Hillary, would be extreme leftists here.

your crazy. by american standards there center right if you actually look at their policy not their rhetoric. by more global standards they are very right wing and the american right wing is off a fucking cliff. BTW why not move to Alberta. its like the texas of canada or so i am told

[–]Pornography_saves_li 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Look, i get it. Youre a dyed in te wool leftist, and you feel Obama sol you a bill of goods. Welcome to tge club, what do you think right wing politicians always do? Republican politicians are about to get lynched by their 'base' becase the politicians betray the voters so often. Its what the Tea Party, and now Ibertarianism are about. So, excuse me i im not outraged your Messiah turned out to be a liar like the rest of them.

Now, if you lefties could get rid of that idealism, you might stop destroying western civilization.

[–]iongantas 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Conservatism is no less gynocentric than feminism. It just expresses it in a different way.

[–]wazzup987 -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

dont kid your self, the trad con want to co-opt mensrights as evidence by milo talk at bristol. they see use as potential voting block and bludgeon against the left. not sure if we want that baggage. and Trad con would love to roll back society rather than be content with letting people live there lives as the see fit trad con or not.

[–]Lethn 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When it comes to social conservatism and the young they're a fucking joke, most people our age just view them as grouchy, religious, technophobic and homophobic old men and women.

I can understand being wary of them which is why I've warned about accepting help from mainstream politicians who are just looking for opportunities to hijack a movement like they did with the tea party. However they have very little real power if people know about them if everybody here calls them out on their bullshit they won't be able to do much, it's only if we let them muscle their way in that they will become a problem like with the feminists taking over the university professorships.

This is why I call out MTGOW and Red Pillers as well or people with obvious ideological tendancies who just want to hijack everything. I'm an Anarchist and I despise both sides of the traditional political compass, we mustn't let either group try and change this movement or it will lose momentum completely. It's the very fact that it is so loosely organised and contains many ideologies that makes it so appealing and forces people to question traditional politics.

Because if Conservatives, Liberals, Socialists, Communist, Anarchists, Capitalists and Libertarians are all standing up to the traditional politics, how can the traditional politics be superior?

[–]Pornography_saves_li 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lets leave politics out of this....leftist.

[–]MattClark0995 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What a load of left wing bs. You conspiracy theorists are so moronic. Yes, because us Men's Rights advocates represent a huge voting block don't we? A good .000000000001%. That'll swing an election.

SMFH at you left wing loons. Fuck r/mensrights, bunch of left wingers who love circle jerking about how awful Republicans are.

[–]wazzup987 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

your math is off men represent 49% of the population

[–]TomHicks 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And men who are aware of misandrous discrimination and who push for their interests? What percentage of the population do they represent?
