Then they should put Queen Victoria on the pound not - presided over the era of the most extreme British imperialism, presided over at least one and maybe two genocides - yeah she'd be a good exemplar of British womanhood to put on passports and pound notes.

Im honestly split on this.

On one hand i think its messed up to remove the contributions that women have made and to remove those struggles from the syllabus. They are a part of history and should be included.

However I think the conclusions that are drawn from those events need to either removed or reexamined.

The fact that women fought foe the vote? Include.

The conclusion that to be male is to be privileged? Remove.

The contributions by women to science, math, etc. Include.

The conclusion that focusing on men inherently hurts women? Remove.

I agree that there are parts of feminism that are pretty much ideological indoctrination and should be removed from the educational process (the bathwater). But at the same time the the actual contributions and struggles of women (the baby) shouldnt be thrown out with it.
