National Review: A mainstream paper condemning SJWs

National Review is known for being strongly conservative, so "mainstream" might be a stretch.

The article makes some good points, although framed in a conservative vs. SJW mindset. IMO, the SJW movement we see today is the culmination of 30 years of academic feminism run amok. For roughly that period of time, campus feminists have decided amongst themselves what is and is not acceptable in society. They don't communicate with anyone outside of their movement when reaching their conclusions, and then they dictate to the outside world what we should all be doing.

Up until now, people have either ignored them (if their views don't affect them) or gone along with it. Just recently, perhaps thanks to social media, has the mainstream really began taking notice to some of the insane things that come out of the academy, that most people don't agree with. Things that make most of our lives worse, not better.

I was on board, until they started talking about the Progressive Left. I'm an MRA, and I don't think conservatism and MRA mix super well. It makes us look like bigots and shut-ins.

It's not us vs them, it's trying to make sure everyone's issues are being addressed, and splitting it down the middle only pushes people away.
