Last year my alcoholic then-girlfriend assaulted me and lied to the police to get me arrested and thrown out of our newly-shared apartment. Thus began a year-long battle within the legal system to get my case dismissed, despite her admitting that the police encouraged her to lie about what happened that night.

Tonight I speak with a group here at my university regarding relationship violence. I fully expect it to be full of women that claim that the vast majority of violence is perpetuated by men against helpless women. I want to show that men are victims too, of both violent women and a legal system that assumes guilt. What is the best way to convey this message?

I have footage of her assaults and lies; I know all the statistics (both true and false) and stories about this sort of thing. I know the lies that have been spread regarding domestic violence. What other information will be useful when they smell a Mens' Rights Activist and try to boo me off stage?
