My hair started thinning pretty noticeable around 22 years old. Instead of being insecure and trying to hide it, I just decided that these are the cards I was dealt and I was better off shaving it.

I was a bit nervous because everyone on /r/tressless (bald subreddit lol) told me that my life was basically over. They told me women would no longer be interested in me, especially because I’m so young, men would constantly make fun of me and wouldn’t respect me, etc. They basically said that unless I get a hair transplant or take dangerous drugs that my life was over.

My experience has been the complete opposite. Maybe it’s because I’m a pretty strong looking guy and my craniums a good shape, but women seem more interested in me than ever before. Men seem to respect me more too.

I’m positive I’m not just imagining this. I’m doing much better socially since I started shaving my head. I’ve had women even tell me I look better with a shaved head than I do with hair. They say I look more masculine.

Idk I was just expecting my life to end, and it didn’t. Not even close. So why did so many people tell me that going bald young was a death sentence?
