This is actually a real shame and pure anti intellectualism. Everyone who protested the event seemed completely blind to the nature of "uncomfortable learning". To have actual lectures from people with viewpoints that differ so greatly from yours is highly educational. If for no other reason then to learn about how they argue their case.

I think the reason they gave for canceling the talk was fairly legitimate, but I still think they chickened out. I have no idea of who this woman is or any of her viewpoints other than she seems to be antifeminist. But the students really missed a great opportunity to learn.

And the biggest thing of all, no one was forced to go to the lecture, what's the point in protesting something that you can just choose to ignore?

I think you hit on the really important point. They protested because they didn't want other people to hear a viewpoint they dislike.

RIP critical thinking

"Personally, I have no patience to learn about a perspective that has no evidence, attacks women and demonizes the queer community.”

I think this sentence is more accurate if it stops after the 7th word.

...and the censorship continues.

Well, Feminists make me very uncomfortable and I don't want them in my workplace or anywhere around me because they're creepy and all they do is make false accusations. So not only do they make me uncomfortable, they are a threat to my personal safety.
