While it's disappointing to see the legal system go easy on female criminals, it's nice to know there's a limit to the amount of BS it will fall for. Our legal system rightfully has no tolerance for "guilty until proven innocent", and will not "listen and believe" without any evidence.

.. What. While I agree situations weren't fair before, and rubberbanding happens, but they turned around and broke the constitution. Extreme is an understatement for what they are attempting to do. Who in their right mind thought this would fly in the US? While I agree a lot is up to interpretation, innocent until proven guilty is pretty fucking clear.

All rape is guilty until proven innocent. Because there's no other way to convict anyone of it. There is never any evidence to support a rape allegation except, at best, some DNA. And that can always be explained by saying "yes we had sex, it was consensual." Automatic reasonable doubt. Because people have consensual sex, it's perfectly reasonable to assume two people had it. Tears don't rebut that. Even if it's more likely than not that an accuser was raped, that's not proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

So as you see with bill cosby, there's a presumption of guilt. A woman accuses and it's up to the guy to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he didn't rape her. Has to prove she was mistaken, he was out of the country when it happened. Otherwise he's getting convicted. And then she gets to be the ultimate victim. Win win.
