[Serious] As MRAs, what are your thoughts on the gender equality movement in Kurdistan? (Jineology)

It's an interesting philosophy. I'm not sure I 100% agree with all of it but I don't think there's anything wrong with it and it definitely brings up some good points, especially with regards to the goal of overthrowing patriarchal systems entirely rather than just getting them to open up to women as being the preferred goal.

I'd also never thought of the whole "knowledge is power" thing as being inherently patriarchal but that's an interesting point too.

What's more they seem to understand that the patriarchy does not benefit all men, only a very small subset of men with power, and take that into consideration. Which is why I very much like the following quote from an MRA perspective:

Öcalan expressed that women and all individuals, societies, and peoples that are not carriers of power and the state need to develop their own and free social sciences...

I also think this philosophy is validated by the fact that they have formed their own armies (and are actively fighting to defend against ISIS as far as I know). It's one thing to declare that you're removing yourself entirely from patriarchal structures such as the military but then still rely on burdening men with their existence for your own protection (which is not acceptable in my view), and entirely another to create your own structures in place of those so that you don't need the old structures at all. And it seems to me that's what these women have done, which I think is great.

The Kurdish women's equality movement I support is the one where Kurdish women are taking up weapons against ISIS and dying in battle right alongside their men. Whatever the warts on this movement are, it is only possible because some Kurdish women have shown that they are something more than a burden, something more than just one more liable to protect. Good for them.

The term Jineology means "women's science".

Upon closer examination of patriarchal system stages, starting with the Sumerian civilization, it is clear that the rulers, until today, have established their power positions initially in thought.

I'm not seeing the distinction between Modern Western Toxic feminism and Jineology. They both say women do science different, better, than men do because vagina. They even use the same language of "The Patriarchy"

On first reading it looks a lot like feminsim but I don't have much context. It's difficult to decide an opinion on something you know so little about but there are some clues in the text.

They want to do away with patriarchy and science. There's no mention of balance, the talks about women being repressed but does not mention conditions for the average male. The article is difficult to read in a way that only social science ever manages. A lot of words that don't say very much at all. It avoids discussing facts or providing any evidence for the claims it makes. I wonder if Kurdistan is on the rise economically.

Asserts this as common knowledge, unproven and unclear (what does first in thought mean?)

in the history of humanity, the woman was evaluated as the first existence that has gained knowledge about her own self.

We must accept this as a fact without proof, that men were selfish enough to create society to their own liking, without any self-consciousness whatsoever?

Researching the colonization history of women will require the re- writing of the history of humanity

I support it in Islamic countries because the women there know what real sexism actually is. Feminists in western countries are batshit insane.

I've been actually studying the Kurds a bit because I find them very interesting, what they started off as were pretty much Marxists, this where the PKK branch of the kurdish fighters comes from. They're on the extreme left side though and don't have many friends with their leader being imprisoned for life by Turkey. Often they come into conflict with the Turks because like most kurds their ultimate goal is autonomy but these guys have no problems with simply fighting anybody who gets in their way.

Historically, Turkey actually owns a chunk of Kurdish land back in the days when they were the Ottomon Empire, which is why they very often come into conflict with the kurdish people. Either outside their own country or within.

With their philosopy though they do seem to be very much a moderate left group of people. I think the majority of them seem to have more in line with Libertarian socialism than any form of authoritarianism but I wouldn't be surprised if western feminism was seeping in to their beliefs a bit which is why sometimes they get involved with gender politics sometimes. Certainly some groups like the YPG who make up a good chunk of the Kurdish resistance are a bit more extreme they demand women have no relationships and so on.

Let's hope that they don't get sucked into the authoritarian side of the left, as they seem to be veering towards either that or a more relaxed form of moderate left or liberalism. That's a quite basic run down of the noteworthy groups out there, I think it's a good thing they're adopting all the other beliefs of gender equality, I just hope they don't pick up the shitty brand of feminism we have over here, then they might actually end up worse than ISIS. Can you imagine what feminists would be like if they had control of their own country completely and had AK47's and RPGs? That's one of the unfortunate possibilities I'm looking at though, but hopefully that won't happen and they'll pick the sane route.
