That's an unfair generalization. You don't know anything about their personal situation. I live pretty close to the Netherlands and know some prostitutes there are very open and even proud of their work. There have been some interesting documentaries on it.

Dutch women in general are very social, enthousiastic, and sex is far less of a taboo. And some women love it so much that they make a living out of it. Many also think they are doing a service to society, as often less attractive men, socially awkward men, unhappily married men, handicapped men, or just lonely men in general don't get the intimacy all humans crave. Some more than others.

I think it's a good thing that legalisation is pushed through, as we've seen in many other countries sex trafficing is reduced and living quality and hygiene goes up. Also, I'd assume prices go down.
