You've done well so far. Good on you for getting back out there. What you're doing is not really following TRP, however.

When you text her, do not ask when she will be free. Instead, tell her when you are free. And take her to do something that you are already planning on doing.

My second dates are usually at the shooting range, for example. I go shooting two to three times a week and I am a certified NRA instructor. This allows me to establish mastery when I am teaching proper shooting stance, grip, sight picture, and other fundamentals. Because it is something physical, it also allows me to put my hands on their body to move them into position. This is hidden kino.

After we shoot, I usually take them to grab a bite and continue escalating there.

Let me reiterate that you're doing a good job to be getting back out there. Keep reading the sidebar, and never assume that you have read enough. There is always something new to learn.

Can't grasp when it's best to let them do the initiating and when I should be proactive in trying to get laid.

On tinder you should be proactive and try to get laid as soon as you can.
She went to meet you because she is attracted to your looks. Unless you used dishonest pictures, you have a green light for making out.
Making it soon enough gives you "bold" points for attractiveness. "Hot, not a pussy, not a creep" usually does the trick. From that moment and on, it's about raising the heat. Make out hotter, turn her on more, touch further, let her get used to it, maybe go back a step sometimes, don't push too much. It's about patience more than anything, the more you have and further you go, the more fail safe "we should really get room now" is.

Good job on getting the date. Both of you were drunk, should have made a move. It's a good sign that she texted you the next day though. She said "friday or saturday", she proposed dates which is a good sign as well. But you replied "either". It shows you're too available and that you don't have a lot of stuff going on in your life. Should have said "I want to watch that new movie, I'll pick you up friday at 7pm, we can get drinks after" (Just an exemple). If you did this I would be 100% sure you had a date tonight. Then with enough kino and making a move you could fuck her at your place. I"m new too but that's how I woudl've done it. Goodluck man.
