I agree that the safety of pets from domestic abusers is a serious issue.

But humans should come first.

This is why I urge Senator Peters to demand that the USDOJ effectively enforce federal laws which prohibit illegal discrimination against men, boys and their children who are victims of domestic and sexual violence. and to contemn the misandrist and sexist victim blaming culture of some Michigan domestic violence shelters which appear to illegally discriminate against them. All abusers are also known to harm the pets of their victims, even those who benefit from illegal sex discrimination.

Senator Peters might also want to protect Michigan boys raped in prison who face illegal discrimination as victims, and mostly male Michigan Veterans that have been abused and defrauded by by Veteran's Affairs, while mostly female employees have avoided those same issues, perhaps thanks to sex segregated waiting areas where the corruption took place.

Senator Peters might also like to act in memory of two Detroit children recently found murdered by their mother in their Detroit home. Their fathers of the two surviving and abused children claimed they were unable to see their children. If the Friend of the Court had effectively administered federal parenting time programs, those kids might all be alive today, but they died, thanks in part to the apparent fraud, waste, and abuse in Title IV-D funded federal programs.

There are only 3 men's shelters in all of Canada. One in Vancouver, one in Calgary and one in Toronto. If you are a man and am a victim of domestic abuse and do not live in any of those three cities. You have two options, live with your abuser or check yourself into a homeless shelter.

TIL that in Michigan only women can be victims of domestic violence, and that men don't own pets.
