who do you imagine is responsible for creating a culture that ridicules men who cry, get overpowered by women, or otherwise assume a role normally inhabited by women?

No one is "responsible". Our culture is a natural adaptation which maximizes the chances of our society surviving, securing resources, and maintaining an environment for our next generation.

These cultural expectations, harmful as they are, exist for a reason. Societies which did not train men to be warriors were overrun and destroyed by societies which did. Trying to hold men responsible for our gender definitions is equally as stupid as trying to blame someone for Cystic Fibrosis or Tay-Sachs.

It is understandable to feel angry at a society which mistreats us (both men and women) based on our gender. It is even understandable to want to find someone to blame. But this desire is a childish and small-minded one. It is counterproductive to try and lay blame for any of our social injustices on any one group.
