The last week, I've seen people over and over in this subreddit (there's a thread on the front page right now) talking about how this is a non-issue and how they're going to see the movie. Talking about how the movie doesn't seem like some big pro-feminist thing and how MRAs shouldn't have a problem with strong female leads.

Neither of those were ever the issue, guys. Those were simply the fictional strawman complaints the feminists and the pro-feminist media spouted about why MRAs had a problem with the movie. And apparently they were so goddamn effective at getting that message out that half our posters here don't even know what the real reason to oppose this movie was since I keep hearing over and over from you, "Well, gee, guys I don't see why you have a problem with X, Y and Z." It's killing me to hear all these supposed MRAs parroting their bullshit in this thread.

The real reason we have to oppose this is: This movie production hired Eve Ensler to consult on the movie, specifically to consult about rape. This is a radical feminist who has spent her entire adult life demonizing men. But worse than that, she wrote a play about a grown woman plying a 13-year-old girl with alcohol and raping her and how it was a positive experience for the girl. This is their rape consultant, this absolute scummiest lowest of the low bad apple of feminism.

And you guys urging your fellow MRAs to see this movie want to give your goddamn money to a movie production that hires someone like her to consult on their movie?

"It's okay!" you say. "I didn't see anything feminist in the movie!"

Who. The fuck. Cares. It doesn't matter if the movie is masculinity incarnate because you just endorsed and blessed what they did by hiring this disgusting woman as a movie consultant with your dollars.

What about the next movie they hire one for? How much influence will they impart to the next movie? And the one after that? How long till we need a feminist consultant on every action movie? How long till every movie?

Hey, maybe they can hire Andrea Dworkin to consult on movies, too. Oh, and how about Lena Dunham? She can be the feminist consultant on comedies--don't want them to be filled with too much toxic masculinity after all. Oh and Anita Sarkeesian? She can consult on video game movies. I mean, if they can hire a scumbag like Eve Ensler and even MRAs will give them money, hell, there's no limit to who they can hire. Doesn't that sound swell?

Well, when that becomes reality--and it will--you can thank all the supposed MRAs in this subreddit who did their part to help make it happen, who couldn't be bothered to spend their fucking 8 dollars on some other movie where the director didn't hire a virulent man-hating female-child-rape-endorsing bigot.

If we can't even get behind that, then the men's right movement is well and truly doomed.

Edit to add: Saying that having a feminist consultant on every movie "isn't a problem for men" is like saying having a KKK consultant on every movie isn't a problem for black people.
