you can have a problem with the way some "go about preaching it", that's fair enough, but the fact that these people have the wrong idea of what feminism is, doesn't change the actual definition of feminism

you can't disprove an opinion; also by that logic men's rights activists are uneducated misogynistic assholes and nothing more

Different people have different perceptions of things, you can't define something purely by what people think of it; feminism itself has its own definition and goals, what people think of it is kind of irrelevant.

personally, as a rule of thumb, I am anti-feminist regardless of whatever version of it you are promoting. Ice-cream comes in many flavours but if you don't like ice-cream then that's that. Besides, my interest in MRM is not about hating feminists but about promoting men's rights. Whether I have the wrong idea about feminism or not is irrelevant. My interest is not with feminism but the impact the application of it has had on the rights of men. I couldn't care less what anyone thinks about feminism as a political ideology. My concern is how over the years the politicians have bent over backwards to take-away the rights of man. Regardless of what has caused it I am fighting to end prejudice against men and to ensure men have equal rights to women. By the way, show me a feminist who believes in equality in relation to parenting, law and order and education and maybe we'll get on quite well. I dare say they are few and far between.

There aren't many 'versions' of feminism, it's simply about gender equality? Feminism itself promotes men's rights, which many people on here don't seem to understand. And I agree, I want men to have equal rights to women, except it is obvious that women are the ones inherently disadvantaged, contrary to what you have implied.

Also, I am myself a feminist who believes in equality in relation to parenting, law and order and education :) As is every feminist, considering that's the main goal of feminism

Like I said, I'm not here to educate anyone on feminism. If you want to understand it better, go research it yourself. Clearly you have no understanding of what it is, and thus your anti-feminist stance is purely the result of ignorance and your own closed-mindedness. Feminism is about the movement towards gender equality. We recognize and seek to help problems faced by men, and it is feminists who are there for male victims of abuse etc.

Well, for one, as much as feminism tries to paint women as strong humans with many different skill sets, it does a bad job of showing it. Anita Sarkeesian. Making all of these fail safes against rape or abuse, which put men in the crosshairs many times. The fact that they believe men's rights and their movement is "stupid af". Not holding women accountable for making poor decisions. Should I continue?..

Edit; to add: women being "portrayed in games as weak, helpless beings." But then being upset when in real life, they aren't treated with empathy or when someone doesn't help them/save them.

Oh and let's not get going about the injustices against men in family courts. Granted the tides are turning, but the point is, it's been wrong this whole time. Having a vagina does not earn you the automatic title of being a good mother.

Women getting custody in divorce cases the majority of the time is something that feminism is actually strongly against. We don't want it to be expected that because we're women, we should be primary caregivers to children. Feminists work to abolish such gender roles and stereotypes, which can also be seen recently with paternity leave being extended as men and women should equally care for their children :) Men using this as a reason why men are oppressed or whatever is frustrating, considering it's actually a feminist issue that harms women by enforcing stereotypes

Read those articles and get back to me. I stated it as my opinion before I could find the facts to back it up. Now that I have, yeah, feminism is not the forefront of the equal custody movement. In fact most are quite against it.

So, again, what's your point? This isn't TRP. I have spent hours reading on TRP and this group here is absolutely nothing like that. All of us here have an issue with the way feminism is harming the men and us females in society. We are not hurting anyone or anything. We are not going to your subs and making ridiculously stupid points and then arguing them in a pathetic manner. Why don't you learn to not cherry pick and actually form a real argument? Then maybe this discussion would be useful. But it isn't, because you have absolutely no interest in learning. You simply have an interest making a petty, "stupid af" "argument" with absolutely no point.

Precisely what point have you made? And next time, before you admonish others, make sure you learn what you're talking about. You're the one arguing against rights for a certain group. Humanism fights for equal rights across the board. I wonder if the irony is lost on you from what things like Feminist Frequency has become. It has set feminism back a hundred years. You have absolutely no credibility or fact to back your points up. I have given you mine. You're the one who failed, not I. The next time you try to do this, at least arm yourself for the possibility of debate.

Oh and the only reason you're bored, is because you don't want to actually be unbiased and look at the other side. I think if you had enough respect for debate, you would. But it seems you don't. And there's no winning here, unless you realize where feminism has taken a wrong turn and see why groups like this exist. You don't have to agree, but you have to give the credit that they exist for a reason. None of us woke up one day and started this belief. It was created from the treatment of men in society, from the effects of feminism. It seems to act like you don't care about it once you've weighed in, is disingenuous and is nothing more than a tacit agreement that you have nothing worthwhile to contribute to the discourse.
