So the UVA article in Rolling Stone has been proven to be bullshit. It's been headline news for about a week and the fallout is reaching its climax. What's my problem? Well every report and blog I read says something along the lines of "the real victims of the UVA scandal are actual survivors of sexual assault," What? You can't possibly believe that.

While it's true that the non-stop stream of rape hoaxes make people more skeptical of rape claims, this is by no means about actual rape victims.

I'm afraid that this is going to completely overlook the potentially ruined lives of the students at the UVA fraternity. I'm afraid this will ignore the lives of the thousands who weren't so lucky.

I suggest in every article that is published about the UVA rape hoax, and all other PROVEN false allegations we take make it clear that the real victims are those who were falsely accused. Comment sections, emails to authors, etc.

I'm not big on Twitter but a hashtag campaign might be effective if we get the bigger MRA tweeters involved.
