To anyone who would use the old line about how lucky the kid was to sleep with an attractive teacher: his life has been horribly affected. Cases like this shouldn't be influenced by how "awesome" the victim thought it was, but how terribly he was affected (which probably factors in at times, sadly). Kids don't have the ability to make the kinds of judgements involved here. That's why what this teacher did is illegal, and why the teacher's penalty should have been much, much stiffer. Poor kid. I hope he gets some good counseling.

If it was a husband with 3 children and a partner would the judge have been so lenient if the victim was a girl, or the relationship was homosexual? Or would the Huffington post title instead read "pedophile rapist gets 30 days"?
