It's up to you, but if you want to talk about it I think it's worth addressing. It's another shining example of Feminists denying the sexualization of men. No, society doesn't tell men we have to wear makeup for the most part, but it does tell us we have to be muscular, we should have short hair, we should shave, etc.

I would just answer with "they don't according to actual women" and quote this result from OKCupid.com's data analysis. Whats REALLY bad though is that not only are 80% of men rated at below 2.5/5 attractiveness, the most common rating appears to be a 1/5.

So yea, society doesn't tell men they look bad without makeup, it just tells men they look bad period.

I have no doubt that part of this comes from the damage many women cause to their skin with makeup, i.e. constantly clogging their pores with powder that contains high levels of heavy metals, and other irritants like dyes and fragrances.

Recently, there was study that showed how the average woman rates something like 75% of men as below average in looks. Sorry I don't have a bookmark for it. That could be an interesting statistic to throw out there.

Also, while it's true men are discouraged from wearing make-up, men are held to standards of height and muscle tone.

If it were me, I wouldn't dispute what she wrote online, but I'd just cheerfully add some extra info for people to consider.

they do. in south Korea, at least, where the makeup companies finally figured out a way to mass market their wares to men.

years ago I experimented with eyeliner after I noticed some dude, with a really hot girlfriend, using it. needless to say, I soon learned that it takes a lot more than a few strokes of tar around the eyes to pick up hot chicks.

I don't think guys refuse to wear makeup because they see it as an affront on their masculinity. rather, I think it has more to do with the belief that it probably would not induce the desired effect (more chicks, better job, etc).

how do guys look good without makeup? Well... we aren't told by the media we need it to necessarily look good. You women don't need it just as much as we don't. If women were just as unconcerned about their faces upon going out, you wouldn't think you'd need it either.
