Many years ago I was living in a house with five other people. One night we had a party, we had about 50 guests. I met a young woman, a friend of a friend, we got on very well. We spent most of the evening with her sitting on my lap on the couch in the middle of the lounge, talking, joking around and kissing. She'd just broken up with her boyfriend and it was pretty clear she was putting the past behind her. Towards the end of the evening I said goodnight to everyone, and went to my room, about 20 people saw her follow me. About 15 people stayed over that night (in a five bedroom house). The next morning we got the usual smart-ass comments from our mutual friends about making too much noise. I gave her ride home and got her phone number. We called/texted each other for a few days, before she told me she'd got back together with her boyfriend. I let her know there were no hard feelings and if things didn't work out, I'd love to take her out on date sometime.

Fast forward about 4 weeks, and we were having another party with about 40 people. I'm outside at the back of the house on my own and four guys walk around the corner. I recognize one of them as a guy that's shown up at a few parties recently. The one at the front has a steel bar, and he's incredibly pissed off. The guy I recognize points at me and says, "that's him", and the four of them circle around me. The guy with the steel bar starts ranting that he's gonna kill me for raping his girlfriend, and they start advancing on me. By sheer luck, at the same time, about 4 of my mates walk around the other corner and shouting, ask "What the hell's going on, and who are these assholes that weren't invited to the party?". My friends get between me and the four guys, and the noise attracts about 30 people to come out the back and see what's going on.

Eventually we figure out who they are and why they're here. Apparently her boyfriend never knew they'd broken up, as far as he was concerned they'd just had a fight. When someone told him she'd hooked up with "some guy" at a party, she knew there were too many witnesses to claim it never happened, and somehow she'd come out with "yeah, it happened, but I didn't really want to". And in his anger addled brain he'd decided it was easier to believe she'd been raped than accept she'd cheated on him. So he'd come round with his brother and two friends to beat the shit out of me with a steel bar.

Needless to say there were more than enough witness to make it abundantly clear that no-one had been raped. And the boyfriend went home with his tail between his legs while his friends apologized for the misunderstanding.

TL/DR Girl cheated on her boyfriend, blamed me to avoid taking responsibility for her actions. Lucky I didn't get murdered.

Feminists love to talk about all the rapes that never get reported to police, and if I'm sure this would've been counted as one. But a lot of false accusations never get reported to police either.

Have you ever been falsely accused of rape? Let's hear your stories.

Why? Why do you want to know what happened? What's your reasoning for asking these invasive and very personal questions? I say that because many who have been accused of rape have been traumatized nearly as much as those who have been raped, and unfortunately, society doesn't have counselling services for those who have been accused to learn how to deal with the social stigma, the beatings, the further accusations, the potential- or real- loss of job/housing/schooling, and no one gives a shit once society has decided that the accusation is real, even when it isn't. You want to claim to have an 'inquiring' mind- tell me what your purpose and reasoning is for asking the question. Until then, I won't contribute my pain to titillate you.
