He is definitely male. I'm not sure whether the his/her story title there is because of malice or simply being uneducated.

More education and engagement with men's transgender issues is necessary so people understand this, and the MRM can help those men too.

Said it elsewhere, and I'll say it here - I think it's rather sad that they're willing to cherry-pick this guy's story to support the MRM, but not to extend to him the courtesy of actually considering him a man. "His/her" indeed.

For the record, the vast majority of trans people report exactly the opposite. Make of what what you will.

This sort of account is too personal to be of much use in answering questions of societal bias. The same thing can be experienced by two people and they go away with completely different responses or interpretations. It's probably better to ask about very specific aspects of life and try to get specific answers, rather than rely on an overall assessment like this one. From what I have seen the answers that trans people give to this question differ mostly according to the ideology they believed in prior to transition. People mostly see what they want to see. Asking specific questions helps reduce the bias.
