Think of any other subculture where people describe themselves as "outcasts".

Goths, Emos, Furries, Weebs, Bronies, ect. All these groups have large online platforms, real life social circles, and some of these groups regularly have social events of hundreds to even thousands of people. They are constantly at social settings (clubs/festivals/bars), and they are either widely accepted, or even praised.

There is no real life social scene for incels, being associated or even thought of as an incel is a social death sentence. Incels have no tribe, we have no group outside of obscure forums. All these people who claim to be "outcasts" are mostly just normies with weird kinks and esoteric interests. They are hardly "outcasts", though by any metric.

The only other group that comes close are sex offenders. But even they seem to live somewhat normal lives compared to most of the incels I know. Just go over on r/SexOffenderSupport and read about all the convicted child molesters and violent rapists who still have wives, families, and gainful employment. Most of the incels I know (myself included) have never and probably will never reach that level of success.

So if you're looking at this objectively, it may literally be better to be an average/attractive registered sex offender, than be an ugly incel. Let that sink in. It's fucking over.
