The Red Pill Isn't a Solution for Men

It is actually counter-productive. If all men are in shape, have nice haircuts, have over 200k, that just simply shifts the standard even higher. Now you're going to need to look even better, everyone is in shape so other things are going to matter more, you're going to need more than 200k. It is a never ending thing. I know a guy who gamed in Italy, and he says that confidence doesn't matter, because everyone is gregarious and outgoing.

I suppose it is just the simple laws of supply and demand. The more men there are that elevate themselves, the less value it actually has. Especially since women and people in general are hypergamous, trying to get the best fish they can. I think we need a different solution than the ones posited by the red pill. The red pill is very selfish, can help a small number of men individually in the short term, but it will not be a solution for the masses of men in the long term.

I think the red pill is intrinsically self defeating because you're putting so much emphasis on women and dating to begin with. I don't care what anyone says, I should not have to have 200k or be handsome to get a woman to like me. In my experience, all of those things that men bring to the table, having s#x with a condom with some girl that you don't even like that much, simply isn't worth it in comparison. If men stop valuing women so much, it could be the solution we are looking for.

This would be true if even a sizable minority of men improved themselves. However the vast majority of men including yourself are either self defeating or simply lazy and will never become anything more than average at best.

Stop making assumptions. I can get women and have. I can get women and still acknowledge the contemporary plight of men in the west. It's all about ROI. Spending hundreds of hours cold approaching just to get women, is not worth the ROI. My argument is that you SHOULD be able to be average and get women. Just like most women are average, but have no problem getting men. The question is how can men create that Meta that women have, for ourselves. And my point is that the redpill cannot do that.

Then you’re living in “Idealism Land” my friend, and the unfortunate truth of the matter is that Idealism isn’t always (or even often) conducive to reality.

Basically you can think or feel how you believe things SHOULD be all you want, it doesn’t mean it can translate into anything real. There are certain areas where this is more or less flexible, as I’m definitely not going to say idealism never works for ANYTHING ever, that would be absurd.

However what I AM saying is “how things should be” in regards to human nature has never really worked for the majority of beliefs people think “should” be true.

The truth of things is that average women don’t want average men by and large, they want above average men. And it makes sense that they do. So you face facts and either make yourself desirable to the women you want, or you go your own way and figure out how to be happy single.

But I can promise you, you won’t win on the “changing what women are majority attracted to” front, you’re far from the first to try and fail.

Most men are either overweight, obese or skinny fat soyboys. Most men are broke, especially unmarried men.

Redpill is still retarded but those are not valid arguments.

I'm more of a Blackpiller, but acquiesce to some Truths of the Redpill, such as female nature.

The more men there are that elevate themselves, the less value it actually has.

This is the most valuable advice that men should ever hear.

The red pill fails even if it 'works' for you. Neil Strauss wrote a book on how badly it fucked up his life. It is absolutely worthless if you want to be happy.

Happiness is overrated

I think you need experience before you can make that call 🙂

[–]Constant_Ad6906 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy Link

Its unlikely I'll never get that experience.

What’s the title of Strauss’s book?

I don't think it's about the Redpill, but yourself. What are your goals? What do you want? Unfortunately, for manny men, happiness and success are a requisite to happiness, so, for them, it is compulsory to have a modicum of success in dating. If they cannot, I wouldn't fault them per se, but the environment.

Well here’s the unfortunate truth of not just the red pill, but human reproduction in general:

There will always be losers. There will always be a chunk of the population who will not be selected by someone else. There will always be those who “don’t get it” or are just a particular combination of unfortunate traits that ends up meaning they never reproduce. NO sexual/relationship strategy is “for” everyone, as there will ALWAYS be those reproductive “losers”.

That’s the thing that I think a lot of people who criticize the red pill aren’t considering when they make posts like these. The red pill literally isn’t “for” all men. Its for the men that it works for, or would work for if they knew.

I’ve commented it before, but I count myself as a person who I think the red pill was “meant for”. I treated it like a toolbox, picked up the tools and techniques that I believed were helpful without being immoral (I do not believe in everything the red pill says, which is ANOTHER thing people get wrong about it, you’re not SUPPOSED to subscribe to every notion/idea/method it teaches as it teaches both moral and amoral methods) and I have been tremendously successful since.

But I recognize what worked for me may not work for other dudes, which is why TRP is so broad in what it teaches.

TRP outright tells you that there will always be a chunk of men who are losers, and to NOT be a part of that chunk. It subsequently shows you all the different ways you could do so, which vary in their morality. Its up to the person picking up the tool to decide if they use it morally or amorally.

IMO, TRP is and was never meant as a strategy for all men, its to awaken dormant or potential winners to said potential. I was a dormant winner, and it changed my life for the better. I would even go so far as to say TRP saved my life, which is why despite having grievances with some things TRP espouses, I could never condemn it.

[–]kanzakistudent[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy Link

Red herring. Literally no one is saying there won't be losers in any given system, but it's the difference between 1 winner to 100 losers, vs 1 winner to 10,000 losers. That's the difference. I am comfortable with going back to the time that our great grandparents were prdominant.

You may not think Redpill makes you immortal, but most of its advocates certainly sell it that way. Let's face it: The Red Pill has drastically lost ground in the last 5 years due to the Black Pill, no we're all trying to act like we weren't telling men that their looks, race, and height weren't more important than their gAmE and mUsCleS. I was there. The Redpill is ill equiped to be a meaningful solution for men in 2023. I guess you explicitly admit that.

You seem to have missed my point (and misused the term “red herring” but whatever you say chief) and perhaps I could have added the following to help make it clear:

TRP, like almost all things, isn’t a monolith. The “gurus” scamming people are just a subset of folks who decided to try and peddle the tools I mentioned to people who have no need of them, or can’t use them outright. That is one of the immoral uses I briefly touched on.

In that same vein, TRP losing steam as it gains mainstream acceptance makes perfect sense because it WOULD end up blackpilling just as many dudes at it redpills. A strategy that only works for, lets use an arbitrary percentage, 40% of men is absolutely going to have the fact that it doesn’t work for 60% of men highlighted and beaten into both it and the public eye. Anyone with a shred of understanding of TRP would realize this.

Perhaps a different comparison would help: the ultra wealthy elites. Do you think every person can become one? If there were methods, both moral and immoral, that you could use to become a rich elite, you would use them, right? What if only a certain number of people could make use of those techniques, and if EVERYONE tried to use them then no one would become rich because the techniques unravel and stop working if tons of people use them?

TRP is like that, techniques that only a percentage of men can effectively and successfully use that WILL NOT WORK and will STOP working even for those men if ALL men tried using them.

TRP going mainstream for short term profits at the expense of its own longevity matches pretty much perfectly with how our society does shit nowadays and its pretty funny to see.
