So, I'm sure you've all seen Red Pill Women, a fascinating forum where women who've embraced red pill ideals (read: want an alpha male and aren't deluding themselves otherwise, which is not a bad thing I suppose) come to chat about relationship issues in a manner that should be different to TwoX/AskWomen.

I've been taking a close look at it for the past few weeks, and I've come to an interesting conclusion, that RPW is a direct example of the AWALT concept. The reason I think that's interesting, is that it's held up by those on TRP as a shining example of "unicorns" (spits on the ground) and "girls you should totally be looking for". I'll grant them that they're still better than a lot of women, but read carefully and you'll see that they're not that much better.

This is an interesting example. Her partner said that he wanted to go out with his friends, and might do some coke. Personally I've got nothing against drugs per se: they're not evil or damaging by default, but can become so without much warning.

But the advice was that the partner wanting to do that (and being honest with her about it... covert not overt guys! Never forget that!) was either a massive deal breaker (your choice, fair enough) or something that should definitively destroy her trust in him.

So, being honest about something he wants to do destroys trust? Interesting.

I feel like I was in the wrong for being upset about it, but I feel I am justified in being upset considering his past.

His past, as she tells it, is that he's taken drugs in the past. Never an addict, never abusing, just used them. But now she's on RPW for validation of her feelings of distrust. I feel there's a lesson in there.

For bonus points, check out the "RUN!" post. Fascinating. The white-knighting posts from TRP male members doesn't help matters either (seriously get over this "unicorn" [hock, pftoow] bullshit). I predict RPW degenerating into palatable, girl-friendly RP-kind-of advice sanitised for the audience, regardless of the original intentions.
