Boys are complimenting her and trying to ask her out. And this somehow equates to oppression? Insofar as them being sarcastic remarks, statistically, girls get bullied, body-shamed & slut-shamed MORE by OTHER GIRLS/women. So if boys are being mean towards her, it's fine if she calls that out... but the idea that it's "only boys" doing that to her is a joke. 99% chance this post is entirely fictional. And honestly, that's what the vast majority of feminist oppression porn on Reddit truly is. Nothing more than made up nonsense because the demand for misogyny is greater than the supply.

Look, I understand that a portion of men suck at making romantic advances (but even then, that doesn't mean their intentions are mallicious) and some of those men may be actual creeps... but at the end of the day, if women had the option to choose between that, and never being "bothered" by men again but also lose ALL their sexual/dating power/privilege in the process meaning THEY would have to be the ones to take the first movie, be sexually assertive, risk rejection, land that pick up line, etc... then we all know 99% of women would be very happy to keep what they have and not switch roles.

I'm always reminded of those two articles written by Jessica Valenti (a generic man-hating feminist), with the first one being about how cat-calling is pure evil & oppression of women or what have you... and the second one, a few years later, is her complaining how she isn't being cat-called anymore and how that has negatively affected her self-esteem.

These women honestly wouldn't last two seconds living as a male. They truly cannot comprehend what it's like to truly be invisible. To never be wanted. To be viewed as repulsive or a creep. They have never tasted that social rejection, which is fine... but for them to judge men so harshly for being forced into that position honestly disgusts me.

It's kind of like the difference between being a celebrity and a homeless person. Being a celebrity comes with constant attention, harassment even, but also love, support, care, ego, fame, etc. A homeless joe might not be harassed every day, but he's invisible to everyone around him and absolutely no one cares about him. It's surely annoying to be a celebrity constantly having to deal with annoying people asking for your attention... but if that was truly the "worse" alternative compared to being a homeless guy, then celebrities would gladly give up their wealth and fame, but they never do. Just as homeless people wouldn't dream of hitting the lottery.

Deep down, everyone knows that when it comes to having "too much attention" or "nothing at all", the latter is worse... for loads of (obvious) reasons. Again, it's not that we should blame women for that, but it's the constant contempt and lack of self-awareness for what they have that's truly bothersome.
