Hi guys, we got our first mandatory mediation scheduled a week from today. I would like to come as prepared as possible and also would love to know what to kinda expect. She doesnt have a lawyer (she cant afford one), i am on the ropes of getting one, I paid for 99% of everything. We have no kids…married just short of 5 years. She cheated on me. We are still cohabiting because i legally cant kick her out just yet. She worked about 30 hours for the first three years, then towards the final year and some change…as i got a significant increase in my salary, she VOLUNTARILY decided to reduce her hours to basically two times a week. The dog that we have went to day care even on the days she was off from work. She literally only paid her own credit cards (which i paid off on multiple occasions), and her car (which i always gave her an extra $200-300 a month to help her pay the monthly payment)…everything else as far as household expenses went were paid by me from my personal checking account. We dont have any joint assets not even a joint bank account. But CT is a weird no fault state so idk, anyways sorry for the rant..any help/tips would be much appreciated.
