Hello all, I'm currently going through a divorce and custody battle with my stbxw. I do shift work for my career job and was wondering if anyone had any advice or luck when it comes to an outcome for this? I have a fixed 4 week shift rotation, so it's the same shift pattern every month. So, in my eyes, that can be consistent and stable for our child we have (3.5 years old). I have been very involved with our child since birth and know his entire routine and been to all his doctors appointments in all, but my stbxw is trying to limit me to an every other weekend parent, I also have my own house and our child on my insurance. Our child is also not in daycare or anything I created a parenting plan to try and present in court to show how stable and consistent it is, even though it's not a normal 9-5 job. I only work 14 days of the month with this schedule. We live in Maryland and live about 15 minutes from where they're staying. Any words of advice, encouragement or help would be greatly appreciated as I'm very nervous and scared of what the courts will do or not do. I know they passed a new law that went into effect last October to try and make every situation more even and fair, but who knows. I've been asking to be with our child every day I'm off work, but she has limited me greatly with no overnights and half the time I can be with our child overall, for her own strategy in court I guess.
