Hello friends
Good evening from somewhere in the Indian Ocean π
A few weeks ago I had posted about my circumstances and I had to go back to sea almost immediately. 'Coz of which I never got the opportunity to lawyer up, while she has and is building up a case against me with copies of text messages, etc. She's almost ready to file while I'm away. On my previous voyage, she changed locks and took me off the lease without informing me.
The advice that I'm soliciting pertains to an incident which happened on day before yesterday, Saturday the 18th.
She does not answer to texts or anything. I had sent a text asking her to revert back on the 12yo son's desire to join jiu jitsu classes and how would she like me to pay for the classes + his seriousness. Few days of waiting for a reply and getting frustrated, I called her from mid-sea, requesting a reply.
She put the onus to decide back on me, considering that I don't know the timings & the days convenient for both her and the son or even as to how serious is he. Flabbergasted, I pointed out these facts to her and the main reason for the call.
She let out that she's getting late to drive down to Brooklyn (we live in CT and a good 2hrs drive on a good day) and can she text back on Sunday? When I asked why was she driving down to NYC, her reply was that her friend (whom I never got alongwith and I suspect it's envious that my wife got married while she could not even manage to get a b/f and also keying her up to divorce me) had got tickets for the LCD Sound System concert & the son has a birthday party (his friend's dad) in the HOA that we live in. I said OK and hung up.
This is where I'm getting confused and need your advice -
I was under the impression that she was going to be back home by late night. Also, her mother owns a house and lives within half a mile radius of the venue. Texted the 12yo son to wish him good night & I was shocked to discover that -
- He was home alone and not at the friend's house
- The STBXW was going to stay overnight in Brooklyn and would be home the next day, by noon
- He was responsible for making his own breakfast & possibly lunch.
- She stayed overnight at her mom's house. She could've dropped the son at her mom's house and then gone to the concert. Why leave him alone at home in CT?
I told him to lock both the house and his bed room doors & to use the credit card that I had given him for emergencies due to brunch. She finally returned home on Sunday, late afternoon/early evening, a full 24hrs later.
If she had not let it slip that she was going to a music concert, I'd have been none the wiser. She still has not informed me about what she did and neither has she texted me about the classes.
What do I do now?
A) Call her and let her know that I'm aware of what she did over the weekend? B) Email her and leave a paper trail for future use, or C) Keep quiet?
Needles to say, I'm angry that my baby had to spend the night all alone at his age & cook his own breakfast & lunch at his age, while she was gallivanting around at a music concert with her friend.
Please advice & thanks much for reading.
