I posted something similar in another group but it might have been too long. Short story my STBX and I pre temporary hearing agreed to 50/50 custody, child support based on my self employment income ( 40k ) and she gets the paid for house and I get the paid off land. She blindsided me at the hearing and I ended up getting basic Texas SPO and child support based off my temporary job that I got to stash away cash on the pipeline making 4k a week. I got laid off in August and am still at the high rate of child support and rarely get to see the kids. Our final hearing is next week and I’m out of money. Can I / should I ask for the property’s to be appraised and she buy me out of the house or should I leave it alone as the judge favors women here 90% of the time. The houses tax appraisal is 147k and the land is 108k but I’m almost 100% sure the house would bring 180 to 190 easy and the land would be a tough sell at 108. I’m also stuck with the only debt that we had 20k in credit card debt and had to spend all my savings on child support and moving in/ furnishing the place
