The first important date that came up after my seperation was the 21 year anniversary of when we started dating on Valentine's Day. I got drunk and emailed her how much I loved her. She used that in court to say that I was harrassing her (4 months later). That was also the last personal email I sent to her.

Having a drink with a pretty lady, playing my guitar as loud as I want, eating the unhealthy stuff from the best taco place in town, getting lucky, and not giving a single fuck that the ex is having to deal with the reality of consequences of destroying our "perfect" little family because she wanted to act single again.

My wedding anniversary came not long ago. I didn't remember at all but my mom sent me a text message, she meant well but acted as a reminder. I didn't care at all that day, I thought that was a good sign of moving on. But I had trouble sleeping for a few days after that. In retrospect I should have taken it more seriously and done a calm-down routine before going to bed because that's when the thoughts nag me.
