Anyway, my STBXW for the first month of the process talked about how amicable she wanted things and I believed her and she did seem like she would be like that. About a month ago, that soured, and she will say one thing, do another and has a way to make me look unreasonable when she changes things last minute. Now, she won't commit to our verbal 50/50 arrangement as we are about 3 weeks from the mediation. She has become so difficult at every turn, carbon-copying her attorney on every email and cannot let us make simple decisions, wasting both attorneys billable time. Neither her attorney nor her will comment on the need for a CFI investigation, making me and my attorney they will last minute try to push for more than 50/50. My attorney has said not to worry about the CFI investigation process, that getting over the hurdle to reduce 50/50 time is rather difficult and I should be ok. I want to believe him and do trust my attorney. It worries me too as this is time with my child.

My question is, has anyone been through the CFI investigation process, especially in Colorado? What is that like? I see it as better to get her to just agree to 50/50 than waste time, resources but at this point, it seems unlikely. I won’t budge from 50/50 because I think that is best for my child and I am a good dad. And my biggest fear, I see that there is always some hazard risks. Could anyone with experience with the CFI investigation process give their experience?
