Leave. Similar here, she cheated and gradually over many years she just got angrier and angrier. I tried. Turns out the anger was due to her continued cheating. She also began to accuse me of cheating. I never did but you wouldn’t know it listening to her throwing accusations. I found it’s nearly impossible to defend myself from constant accusations of things that I never did. But it sure beat me down mentally. All because she was still cheating. I didn’t find out about the continued infidelity until after she was gone. The final two years were Hell. Just when you thought the hostility was ending or improving- here comes a new, fresh mad and angry. It’s a manipulation tool. The anger and fighting was generated to keep you constantly off balance. That changed the minute I stopped viewing her as any sort of victim. Worry about yourself. She already cheated, you know who she really is. If you met her today, would you ask her out? Stick around after finding out she cheated on her last husband?

There’s your answer.

I tried to hold on for far too long. I too was facing anger and shouting and attacks from morning until night. I would come home and not know what I was coming home to. Would it be angry or a sullen sulking wife or an indifferent but happy wife, I never knew. Every day she would scream at me and argue And be hostile at some point. I just never knew when it would come and it left me tiptoeing around on eggshells. I am now 2 years divorced and have my peace. I should have divorced years earlier.

Ask yourself if you can see yourself being happy in this position in ten years time. Do you want to waste that time in misery or do you want to give yourself a second chance at life and get out now?

Generally yes, cheating alone would constitute a sufficient reason, but there's a price to pay.

Whether the price is tolerable is up to you to decide.

Consider this: you file for divorce, where you are and who you are in 10 years? You don't file, where you are and who you are in 10 years?
